A glimpse on the Meeting
that has taken place at Heraklion of the Crete Island

79 participants from the SeaDataNet Consortium and the Advisory Group met at the Atlantis Hotel, in the Centre of the Heraklion City and where almost all the participants stayed, with excellent Meeting facilities.

The objective of the meeting was to start the work plan, to discuss possible difficulties raised by the dealines and interelated tasks and to provide guidelines for the deliverables and reports.
The team spirit was greatly enhanced through three social events that were announced at the opening of the Meeting:

Excursion accross the outsatanding landscapes of Crete,

to the Archaeological sites of Gortyne and Phaestos and old city of Rethymnon,

The pleasant weather of the early summer period allowed to integrate a sportive session into the cultural trip.

Thanks to the Hellenic National Oceanographic Data Centre organization, the meeeting was fully successful .
